London: 1 February 2010 Flash Alert! Flash Alert! Flash Alert! Flash Alert! As one and all know, a premiere at the Curzon Mayfair is a sub-optimal experience for fans. Getting there means quite a walk. There is the main road and the narrow pavement to contend with at cimena side and at the other side of the road, blockage of view by limo, taxi, truck is the challenge. Oh and did I mention there’s no light to speak of either? Or the fact I’d covered this film at the BFI last year? (see film on my channel) No matter. Equipped with my trusty step-stool and the excellent Panasonic TM300 I headed out into the night. For the first set of shots I stood on my stool behind layers of paps. For the second set I teamed up with a pap and got to the other side of the street. Only a handful of fans were there due to logistics and they did get a few signed.
